Separate production continuity from connectivity

Network bonding protects the upload path, while source automation keeps video available when a live contribution ends. These are complementary tasks. StarBonding handles bonded transport and restreaming; a continuous-source or playout workflow must provide fallback video when no live source is present.

Use conservative encoding settings

Choose a bitrate the available connections can sustain for long periods, not only during a short test. Keep keyframe interval, codec and audio settings within YouTube recommendations. Hardware encoding can reduce CPU load for continuous operation when supported and properly tested.

Automate reconnection and fallback

The encoder or automation layer should reconnect after an ingest interruption and select fallback content when required. A recorded loop, standby slate or scheduled playlist can keep the destination active while the primary live source is unavailable.

Monitor power, storage and links

Continuous streaming needs alerts for encoder failure, disk exhaustion, source loss and network degradation. Use stable power with backup where appropriate, prevent unattended operating-system restarts and verify that bonding links remain active over extended tests.
