The local RTMP input
OBS, vMix or another encoder sends video to a local RTMP address supplied by StarBonding. Because the handoff occurs on the same Windows computer, the production application does not need to know which Ethernet, Wi-Fi or mobile adapter carries each part of the outgoing traffic.
Bonding and monitoring
StarBonding establishes the server connection, uses active links and displays upload, latency and status for each one. Operators can see whether a modem is contributing, whether latency is changing and whether total upload remains appropriate for the configured encoder bitrate.
Restream destinations
The bonded input can be sent to configured RTMP or RTMPS destinations. Each destination is managed independently, allowing the same production stream to reach platforms such as YouTube, Facebook or a downstream streaming server without adding multiple direct uploads from OBS.
When Windows software is preferable
A software workflow is useful when the production already runs on a Windows laptop or desktop and the operator wants to use existing network adapters. It removes the need for a separate bonding appliance while keeping setup, monitoring and restream control on the production computer.
