Plan for the full match

Test sustained upload for longer than a short speed test and account for pre-match, half-time and post-match coverage. Conditions may deteriorate as spectators arrive. Choose an encoder bitrate that remains supportable when one connection is unavailable.

Use separate mobile operators

Several modems on one operator may share the same tower and congestion. Combine different operators with venue Ethernet or Wi-Fi when practical. Position modems for signal while keeping USB cable lengths, power and weather protection within safe limits.

Monitor during play

StarBonding shows total upload and per-link latency and traffic. Assign someone to observe connection health without distracting the vision mixer or commentator. A weakening link can be replaced or repositioned while the other links continue carrying the stream.

Rehearse failure before kickoff

Run the complete OBS, graphics, audio and bonded transport workflow. Disconnect each link separately and observe the result. Confirm destination credentials and restream controls, then document the exact startup sequence for the production team.
